St Mary Magdalene Church

‘Growing together in worship – reaching out with Christian love’

Part of a group of parishes which includes Caldecote & Denton, Folksworth, Morborne, Haddon and Elton.

About our Church Community

St Mary Magdalene continues to be an important part of the Stilton community. It provides valuable support and guidance to our youngsters at Stilton Primary School.

In 2016 we welcomed a new Rector, the Rev. Richard Gibbs, Stilton’s 50th Rector in a line which dates back to 1218. Although having the care of five parishes, Richard lives with his wife Sue and three daughters in our rectory. He began his ministry as Vicar in Southport in 2012 and is a keen musician and golfer in what little free time his duties allow!

It’s my intention to spend as much time as I can with people in my parishes as I try to get to know the area and its people. I hope to see you around at our services, garden parties, walks, school assemblies, coffee mornings, parish events and everything else that happens in our villages’
