Rector:
Currently vacant (previously Canon Richard Longfoot). Stilton Rectory, Stilton,
Peterborough, PE7 3RF From 'Link', November 2011: "We have been
blessed to have Richard [Longfoot] as our Rector, bringing a unique blend of faith,
caring and humour; being a friend as well as a priest; reminding us that whatever
ups and downs we face in life, God is unchanging. Richard has taught us that through
Jesus Christ we are offered love, forgiveness and new beginnings. "Now
that Richard has retired, we begin the process of finding a replacement for him.
A Parish Profile describing the Church activities in all the parishes and setting
out the kind of Church we hope to be has been completed. This will be used by
the Bishop of Ely to suggest possible candidates for the post of Rector. These
priests will be interviewed by a panel representing the parishes. "This
process can take a long time. In the meantime the Church Wardens, Parochial Church
Councils and congregations will maintain the work of the Churches."
