About Stilton - Memorial Hall

The Stilton Memorial Hall remembers the men who fell from Stilton, Folksworth, Morbourne, Washingley, Denton and Caldecot and contains detailed information for World War 1 and World War 2. Transcriptions of the Memorial Plaques can be found on the roll-of-honour website.

The Hall is a venue for a variety of village activities, and is available for hire between 9am and 11:30pm all week - please contact the Booking Secretary Jade Smith on 243691. The Hall is managed by the Village Hall Committee; for further information, please contact Brenda Whaley on 240636.
The Hall is equipped for 80 people seated or 100 standing. The kitchen is equipped with crockery, cutlery, etc to cater for 80 people. There is a small electric cooker and a microwave.
When you book an event you will be asked to complete a booking form and pay a deposit that will be returned after your booking if the Hall is left in a clean, undamaged state.

From 24th November 2005, a Premises Licence came into force, allowing alcohol to be sold on the premises on a limited number of occasions each year. Anyone organising an event at which alcohol is to be sold must apply to the Committee at least one month before the event, so that the Premises Supervisor can apply to the District Council on their behalf. The application will be at the discretion of the Memorial Hall Committee.
