About Stilton - location

The Parish of Stilton is located in the District of Huntingdonshire, in the County of Cambridgeshire, on the rising land at the edge of the north-western Fens. It lies astride the Great North Road, formerly the Roman Road of Ermine Street, but is now bypassed to the east by what is now called the A1(M). The nearest large town is Peterborough, some 6 miles to the north-east.
